- Ghimas didn’t invent Chlorhexidine, they invented a way to keep it in the periodontal pocket long enough to allow the tissues to regenerate in a bacteria free environment.
- After the mechanical removal of the plaque, Chlo-Site is applied directly into the site. The gel is injected first into the deepest part of the pocket. While continuing to extrude the material, the needle is slowly withdrawn until it reaches the superior margin of the pocket.
- Chlo-Site, unlike many other products used to treat periodontal pockets, is based upon chlorhexidine, meaning......... There is no risk of provoking allergic reactions.
- It is the only gel that contains to 1.5% chlorhexidine, that is able to assure for at least two weeks, optimal conditions of active and passive disinfection by progressively releasing highly efficient concentrations of chlorhexidine into the crevicular fuid.
- It is easily applied into the deepest portion of the periodontal pocket by means of a thin rounded tip needle that will not traumatize the tissues.
- Thanks to the mucoadhesive properties of Xanthan. It stabilizes in the application site and adheres to the mucosal tissues of the defect.
- At the site of application it is a sterile occluding medication, that destroys that bacteria reponsible for periodontal deseases and peri-implantitis.
- It degrades spontaneuosly at the site of application in 15-30 days and is well tolerated.
- For effient treatment or periodontal pockets & peri-implantitis.
- Contains a mixture of Xanthan gel with Chlohexidine in a syringe - easy to use.
